![]() ![]() I loved all three characters, but I personally think that Gen had a tremendous story arc, and you can see her growth throughout the story in large and amazing, yet also subtle ways. This point is knocked home as each POV is in first-person, which helps readers have that inside perspective as to why certain decisions were made in the story. Dugan is probably the kindest out of them all, as he makes risky moves time and time again for the sake of others in the story, but both Gen and Echo are taking risks as well. ![]() Our main leads survive in this world, each by their own means. ![]() The plot of the novel is a post-apocalyptic one, where a disease has struck and caused people to become ‘Ferals.’ The disease caused people to exhibit zombie-like symptoms, and they end up spreading it to one another via biting. This is the usual structure of the story, though sometimes they are in a different order depending on the flow of the story. The novel centers around three main POVs, Genevieve, Echo, and Dugan. As you can see above, the book is Charon Docks at Daylight, and OMG it is a roller coaster of a novel! I wanted to thank for her beautiful artwork of the characters, because those pieces are the reason why I found and read the book in the first place! So thanks! ![]() I’m back again, with the second book in my Hidden Gems. ![]()
